Scholarship value and duration

Canadian institutions are responsible for receiving funding from DFATD in the form of grant agreements for all successful applicants and for making funds available to grantees

The amount of the scholarship depends on the duration and level of study.

CAD $8,200 for a minimum of four months or one semester of study or research for undergraduate, undergraduate, or graduate students (Masters and PhD). Also
CAD $11,100 for graduate students (Masters and PhD) for 5-6 months of study or research.

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela; and
enrolled as a full-time pupil at post-secondary organisation in an eligible country/territory and paying training expenses to that organisation on the time of utility and for the total period of the exchange.
Candidates aren’t eligible:

in the event that they keep or have a pending utility for Canadian citizenship or everlasting residency;
if they’re already taking part in a scholarship software funded with the aid of using the Government of Canada; or
if they’re already enrolled in a degree, degree or certificates software at a Canadian post-secondary organisation.

Canadian post-secondary institution eligibility

Canadian higher education institutions must:

Be a Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
Has a valid exchange agreement with the alma mater that waives tuition fees for scholarship holders. For non-agreement college and departmental research applications, a letter issued by the International Office of the Canadian Institution or its equivalent will be accepted. When

Canadian institutions must:

Complete the online application for each candidate.

Support documents
